over the last 3 or so years most of my creative energy has been poured into producing and directing a doc, & I havent had the time or energy that it takes musical artists to write grants for their projects, play their music live, gain followers on tiktok to get their music produced, finished and distributed.

I have still been writing songs

over the last 3 or so years most of my creative energy has been poured into producing and directing a doc, & I havent had the time or energy that it takes musical artists to write grants for their projects, play their music live, gain followers on tiktok to get their music produced, finished and distributed.

I have still been writing songs though, recording them in my office on my microphone that is taped to the stand with a toilet paper roll and duck-tape, and the rented instruments from Long and McQuade and audio-interface I bought on FB marketplace. I dreamed that someday I would have the money and time to properly produce these diddy’s, and I indeed did try to finish them by collaborating with a number of different artists but the songs always sounded better undone. ?

and so they sat there in cramped space of my vintage mac, fermenting (some for years) evidently, in the same way natural, biodynamic wine ferments, with the change of winds, the waxing and waning of the moons rays, the deposits of yeast, without any intervention from you or industrial wine industry, just getting more interesting, more complex, more surprising, more perfectly unrefined, unfiltered, raw some things are better raw and untouched like beef tartare or sushi or oysters

think of these songs like that

undone uncooked only lightly seasoned so that you can take the quality of the soil of the water it took to make this manna these songs

undone

as my doc moves into the festival circuit, and I had some time to look at these unfinished songs i noticed that they all were squeezed out of my during moments of my own undoing

Burn the House Down, a song I wrote about a doctor who was cheating on me with three other women, whom I found out about on http://www.arewedatingthesameperson.com how could i have been so stupid and let myself be gaslit?? fucken hell im undone

slow, a song about trying hard to love someone who’s armor and ninja defense just wouldn’t let me

i am un done

Hallelujah anyhow, a song about being undone by the state of the world brain breaking violence i am unravelling i am broken i am un done

these songs are like me in a constant state of being unfinished undone

but becoming

Have a listen at the link in my bio where you can buy the record now for $7.00, or wait until next week to stream on spotify like a poser. hehehe jk I also listen to spotify, but they are evil and do not pay their artists so go to the link in my bio and buy my record from me and help me get a new microphone and plug-in guitar :)

Love you long time.

Cheers to being Undone.
